National League for Nursing and Laerdal Medical

our task

Nurse educators carry the responsibility to train the next generation of medical caregivers

–including keeping pace with developments in medical technology. Patient simulators, the mainstay of Laerdal Medical, help student nurses practice their profession in a cost-effective, controlled learning environment. The national professional nursing teachers association wanted these innovative tools in the hands of their members.

our solution

To support the transfer of simulation technology into the nursing classroom, we built a suite of online courses that nursing educators could access from anywhere. We integrated these continuing education experiences with interactive networking functions and resource-sharing into the Simulation Innovation and Resource Center. In addition to the online courses, we gave these teachers a forum to exchange ideas and practices, a library of current research and news, and information to access funding and vendors for development simulation teaching labs.  Course offerings, which feature multimedia learning built by our expert instructional designer, have since grown from six to sixteen.

I have worked with Electronic Vision and Fitne on a variety of projects since the early 90s. During that time, I worked for 3 different employers, both for profit and not-for-profit. In every instance, the staff and colleagues involved were more than pleased with the process of working with EV/Fitne staff and the finished product. EV/Fitne continues to be my “go to” place whenever I need a creative multimedia product, delivered on time, with a fair price tag.
