Through a series of collaborative consultations,
the college required a new site architecture and modern design to get the attention of our client’s primary audience – and the content to keep it.
Researching and compiling best practices among peer institutions for the college’s External Relations Department. In the true spirit of engineering, we applied our research by facilitating focus groups of students, staff, and faculty to evaluate designs and navigation. We closed the loop, surveying user experiences to establish a rationale behind the new Web site’s functionality and structure, using this data to help develop site blueprints for the college, its academic departments, and its associated research centers. In the process, we kept in mind that the Russ College’s Web consumers – from prospective students to faculty to alumni – expect not only essential content but the look and feel of a professional technology corporation.Moving forward with a firm grasp of our client’s audience and technological savvy, we built a mobile-responsive, intuitive user interface that delivers both, wrapping a carefully engineered content delivery system in news slideshows, embedded multimedia components, and social media integration for one beautiful, functional package.

Electronic Vision was a key part of the team that created our new website. They were a great partner, working with our creative agency and our university’s information technology team. Comparing a three-month time period with the old site, page views for our new home page jumped more than 270 percent, and visits to our news center — the first of its kind for an academic unit at the university — increased by 200 percent over our old news landing page. Since then, we’ve gone on to work on other projects with EV including a fully mobile, online component to our undergraduate recruitment viewbook.
